Research
A recent study published in the Journal of Food Science made an interesting discovery. Carrying out tests on a liver exposed to alcohol, they discovered that asparagus extract reduced toxicity by a whopping 42%. Obvioustly asparagus doesn't completely eradicate the health risks of alcohol, but the vegetable appeared to turbocharge enzymes that process ethanol, allowing the oxidisation of alcohol.
