3) Wheatgrass is an excellent source of chlorophyll and on a molecular level chlorophyll is practically identical to human blood blood cells. HOW TO ADD WHEATGRASS TO YOUR DIET

There are 2 main ways you can consume wheatgrass;

FRESH WHEATGRASS

The best way to consume wheatgrass is as a fresh juice shot. It can be grown in trays or fields, harvested, juiced using a masticating juicer, and then drunk fresh.

TIP: If you don’t like the taste of fresh wheatgrass juice, add 25ml of fresh apple juice (half an apple) to 25ml of fresh wheatgrass or a fresh wheatgrass cube, and drink together.  The apple juice will make the wheatgrass sweeter.  Or if you have wheatgrass straight, then maybe suck on an orange slice straight after.  The acidity of the orange will neutralise some of the alkaline taste of the wheatgrass and the vitamin C will make the iron more bio-available.

WHEATGRASS POWDER
If making fresh wheatgrass juice is too much hassle, you can buy powdered wheatgrass juice powder which is said to contain 85% of the nutritional benefit of fresh wheatgrass. You can buy this from many good health food stores, but make sure you get a good supplier (you do get what you pay for). You can also buy Juice Master’s own powdered wheatgrass from their online store.  Take one teaspoon of wheatgrass powder in one juice or smoothie per day, or mix with a little fresh apple juice and do as a shot.

5 other uses for fresh wheatgrass

1) Rub the juice into the scalp before shampooing, it will help mend damaged hair as well as soothe an itchy scalp.

2) Keep some pulp by and when required, soak it in some fresh juice to soothe and heal cuts, burns, athlete’s foot, insect bites, sores etc.

3) Apply it to itchy or sunburned skin, it will relieve it almost immediately.

4) Chewing the grass and applying pulp to sore gums or tooth will help reduce the swelling and pain.
