We spoke to Karolin Jones who took part in The World’s Biggest Juice Detox and now feels on top of the world…

How did you get into juicing?

I first got in to juicing when I heard about the ‘7lbs in 7 Days’ programme. Since then I try and eat low HI foods…. My friends and family laugh at me when I mention what they are eating has all sorts on it and in it etc. I then signed-up to do the World’s Biggest Juice Detox to try the new 5lbs plan.

Would you recommend juicing to anyone?

I have and most certainly would recommend this to anyone. I have three boys aged 10, 4 and 2 years old. My 4 yr old is disabled on oxygen and has Prada Willi syndrome, however he will have juices even if it is just a plain orange, carrot or apple juice.

What were your results?

This week on Jason’s 5ib in 5 days I have lost an incredible 12lbs and I am over the moon! I also quit smoking – I now feel so alive!!

How has juicing changed your life?

Juicing has changed my life and got me thinking the correct way, the way we should all be thinking… I feel like I have been ‘plugged in’ so to speak and feel on top of the world!

What’s your favourite juice?

My favourite juice is the Berry Banana Crunch! All my children love this and so do many family members, I have this every morning for my breakfast!

Berry Banana Crunch


  • Golden Delicious Apples x 2
  • 2 handfuls of mixed berries (Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Strawberries)
  • Natural Yogurt x 2 tablespoons
  • 1/2 a Banana
  • 1 tablespoon of mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame, linseed, etc)
  • Ice Cubes x 1 handful

Juicing instructions

Frozen berries work really well in smoothies.
